All About Me
Hello! My name is Sara Patten and I'm the 4th grade teacher here at Russell Elementary school. I graduated from Plymouth State University in 2010 with a BA in Childhood Education. I have worked in the SAU 48 district for 5 years at three different schools; Russell Elementary, Wentworth Elementary and Campton Elementary. I have been a 5th grade math teacher, a Title I reading/math teacher as well as a paraprofessional. After 5 years in SAU 48, I got my first classroom teacher position at Piermont Village SchooI as the 5th/6th grade teacher, teaching all subjects, besides 6th grade math. I worked at PVS for 3 years before getting this 4th grade classroom here at Russell. This is my 2nd year here at RES. I am excited to be working at Russell as well as being apart of SAU #48 again!
I grew up in Dorchester, NH on a small horse farm. I went to Cannan Elementary School, Indian River Middle School and Mascoma High School. I participated in 4-H til I was 18 and have showed horses throughout my childhood. I still have my horse, Booker. I enjoy fishing, hunting, swimming, going for walks and riding my motorcycle.
I am looking forward to meeting all of you this year and expressing my passion for teaching here at Russell Elementary School. We are all going to have a great year together!
